Default Where to get dimensional info on a Taylor Craft?

I'm going to start a scratch scale T-Craft, but need the dimensions. From what I understand, they should all be with in 10% of the real aircraft?
Thanks,

Default T-craft

I had a 1941 BL65 T-craft, and the wing span is 36 feet. There several different models to choose from. Some with open cowls and exposed cylinders, and some with closed cowls. There are different models A, B, D, L2, L2A, L2B, L2M, ect. then you get into the modified versions. Tom

WOW! I didn't know there were so many dif models. I want something totally aerobatic, or as aerobatic as it could be. I just thought there was full span and clipped wing. Just something that would look nice and be aerobatic. Has anyone found any free plans floating around the net. Or a list of dimensions and models, and I'll pick from the ones with smaller AR.

Q:
To be "scale", all the dimensions have to be with in 10%, uh, right?

Have a look at Captain Jon's Taylorcraft Hangar:
http://jon.cx/tcraft/tcraft.htm

I putting together an ACE 1/4 scale Taylorcraft . . . it's a pig! It would be easier to throw away the plans and do my own thing!

Default T-craft

If you want aerobatic go with a clipped wing. There several examples out there. Hanger 9's ARF is a copy of a full size. there is Margret Richie's version built be Ed Marquet. Duane Cole's airplane is in the EAA museum at Oshkosh WI. There are several Swick clipped T's around. All are a little different find a color scheme you like and do your own. Tom

There has got to be a T-Craft somewhere down there near you.
Get with a EAA chapter, or with an IAC chapter for a clipwing.

There was a construction artical in one of the mags not long ago.
I have a copy of the plans, moved and haven't found the mag as of yet. I also borrowed a friends plans last night for the Lanier Clipwing T-Craft. The mag plans and Lanier plans are almost identical. Lanier's kit does have non-scale location aileron hinges.

Tom,

The Lanier kit has top hinged ailerons. I've been thinking about center hinges when I get time for this project. I just finished the second wing rib for a 1/2 scale Gee Bee Model D. This will be a as per Granville drawings and each standard chord rib has 59 pieces.
It may be a while before I get a T-Craft.

Al
