Well, a lot of people use simple green and a air compressor because it seems to work the best for a lot of people....[8D]

DON'T use carb cleaner, it will melt and weaken your plastic parts. Ask me how I know[:@]

Simple green is great if it's REALLY dirty. For the most part I use WD40 and an air compressor.

Dont spray WD40 on the enire truck... use simple green the dirt melts off, then use an air compressor to blast it all off.. works wonders!

no one has mentioned the BEST way to clean your r/c
and that being with denatured alcohol, just put it in a spray bottle spray EVERYTHING down good and blas it all off with compressed air. i've been doing it for years.

also, if you got alot of dirt and even mud,, mix 1/3 simple green, with 2/3's denatured alcy. and blow off.

Carb cleaner will actually eat away at the plastic. So thats somthing you need to stay away from. Also useing a small paintbrush is good to get in the tough spots.

I hate to say it, but there might not be any way to get them black again; that is nothing short of painting the tops black again...other than that im not too sure....

if it bothers you that much one good way would simply be to dye the cases in black again

You could try useing some tire shine on them to get the moisture back into the plastic. A good brand tire shine and working it in really good should get the tops black again.

Hmm i'm suprised that you guys use all these fancy methods to clean the trucks. I just use a simple air compressor for both my revo 3.3 and mgt 8.0..That way works great. The only downside is that here in florida it's so damn humid that the air compressor actually COMPRESSED the humidity and sprays out a tad bit of water as well. Kinda works to my advantage....for now
