TRX 2.5 Help?

TRX 2.5 Help?
I was tearing apart my 2.5 today for some cleaning and noticed that on the back plate there are 2 cuts on on side. I was wondering which way they go when i put the backplate back on? Any help would be greatly appreicatied. Thanks in advance

if you talking about those ^^, i think they should be on top when you put the backplate on. like those grooves should be up where the piston is
