I've seen a t-maxx and it does a decent job but breaks too much for me. The stampede sets way to high to do what I would want to do while bashing. The savage is the best basher, thats my advice.

The Stampede is very tough. Get some RPM a arms, bumpers adn its pretty much indestructable. Its pretty fast also and an awsome jumper. It does sit high so no real high speed turns but for bashing its awsome. T MAxx needs ALOT of upgrades to be a good basher. FOr 300 there are alot of good trucks that you can get.

the stampede and firestorm are 2 different types of cars one is a stadium truck and one is a monster truck. Firestorm wouldn't handle as well on rough terrain because of a very low center ground clearance.

Hi
I am the one who started the thread and I am the one looking at pede and T-maxx
while derek_18mt is looking at Firestorm , pede and the MGT.
Kindly answer both of us.
The savage nitro is way too costly than the T-maxx 2.5 I am looking something under $400

I didn't think the savage was much more... But out of those I'd go with T-maxx and MGT. The MGT isn't attractive IMO but runs great.

well everyone said the firestorm is the most durable stadium truck. And i mean alot of people. Some people told me not to go with the Stampede because the engine sucks. Also i found the mini mgt 3.0 and i really like that, i posted so many threads i thik people are sick of me. But hey you want to be sure what your getting and not junk or something. So know im either going to get in one month the Nitro firestorm or Mini mgt 3.0. Im looking for a great basher too, i go to youtube and research that way too, awsome vids u can find

Yep same here. You tube videos help a lot and also these threads also help. But tell me, why aren't you looking at the T-maxx? any particular reasons.
As for the firestorm, wll it has a less clearance so I guess i won't be able to handle rocks well.

RE: Better for bashing Traxxas Nitro Stampede Vs T-maxx
I have a VXL Stampede and an EMaxx and IMO the EMaxx is a better basher. It's heavier, has larger tires, and 4WD so it isn't as skittish or jumpy on bumpy uneven terrain. The Maxx is better when I'm bashing in the forest where there's roots and rocks and crude hiking trails. The Stampede can handle the forest runs OK, but the Emaxx is more stable. In high patchy grass the Stampede gets hung up on things that the EMaxx would blow right thru.
The Stampede is lighter and 2WD so it's faster than the Maxx. On flatter surfaces it's more agile and handles turns better. IMO the Stampede is better for parking lot runs or baseball fields. I put road tires on my Pede so now it handles those high speed, wide open throttle parking lot runs easily. The stock tires balloon too much so it's hard to control when you've got the throttle pegged.
The Stampede is also better for jumping. It's lighter so you don't need as much speed to get big air and it doesn't break as many parts when you land wrong.
Overall I'm not saying one is better than the other, they're both good at doing different things.
I've had bad luck with the electronics on both trucks but you're getting the nitro versions so it's not even an issue.

RE: Better for bashing Traxxas Nitro Stampede Vs T-maxx
the e and t maxx are big trucks 1:9th 1:8thish size big 6+ inch tires 8 shocks dual motors dual batterys 4WD 5+lbs, the stampede is 1:10th 2.2/2.8 inch rims 5.5inch max tires Single motor single battery single servo, Stampede will rip faster then any e-maxx easily just because its not Overly large, use less batterys up, easyer on motors, but smaller so its up to you, i got a stampede and Its a town favorite everybody stops and asks questions asks to run it, and just sit and watch some days lol. 50+mph on anything from grass to dirt is good enough for me
