Default i need some good shocks for my GS Storm

anyone got any suggestions?

im not looking for resevoir shocks, cause anything ive read about them doesnt convince me that the extra $ makes them worth it.

all i need is some aluminum threaded shocks with a nice shaft on em.

hey buggies and todd which ones you guys running on your mugens? factory?

oh yeah for all you GS Storm owners if you need parts let me know. a guy at my lhs has one that he bought NIB and is parting out. pm me about what you need and ill see if he still has those pieces. all parts are brand new.

If you are lookiing for high quality threaded 1/8 scale shocks, you should look at the threaded units imported by OFNA.

I am using the stock big bore Mugen shocks that came with the XRworks. They aren't too expensive and I am sure they would fit your buggy too. They are like 40$ a set, with nice chrome springs and spacers. I used to be a big fan of the coil overs too, until I figured out the threads get dirt in them and then when you adjust the collars it destroys the finish on the shock shafts. I like the spacer type better now, and they adjust MUCH quicker too!

i still dont understand why you need new shocks. the ones from the pro are really good. get harder springs and spacers. But if you decide to get threaded ill take your pro shocks! Hey that person selling parts. I need front shock tower, alum center diff piece, 2 front lower suspen arms, one front gearbox, and thats all.LMK thanks. and well he trade. i got a brand new .15 onfa engine.to trade for all that.LMK

ill ask him about the trade. when you say brand new you mean no fuel every or low fuel? he will ask me so i figured i would ask you.
i should be up at the hobby shop tommorrow if they got my starter box in.

i wrote down those parts you listed. are they all part of the rtr kit or are they from the pro? he has the rtr storm that he is parting out.
what happen was he had his old man back over the car. he left it in his drive way and ran inside for something and "crunch". then he tried to get the parts and would have had to order from like 4 diff companies so he just bought a rtr and is selling what he dont want or wont need.

i asked him if he would trade, and he said he has enough stuff sitting on shelves so another engine wouldnt be needed.
