Default New Tires & Wheels + Air Filter Help

Hey guys need some advice on tires & wheels + air filter as most of you have probably run these.
I run my truck on Baseball fields so its 45/55 45% dirt 55% grass.

was lookin into these Mulchers
http://www.impaktrc.com/product_info...products_id=59

also Badlands were recomended.

was lookinto this deal is it any good? http://www.impaktrc.com/product_info...roducts_id=680

is this the proper size for my REVO.

also looking into these 2 air filters as one was recomended by someone here and it looks great.

recomended: http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...oducts_id/5763

and what i was looking at: http://www.impaktrc.com/product_info...oducts_id=2611

price is a big diffrence in filters but the more I look the more cheaper the PE looks to the other one. Again any help here would be great. If it means helping my engine in the long run a 20 dollar diffrence is not bad.

If you have other filters that might help let me know.

I already have added traxxas wing set and it works great.

as I get to learn my engine I am looking for upgrades that will help in the longrun.

if you know of cheaper prices for the items that would be great also.

Thanks in advance guys.

Personally if it were me, I would just spend the 12 bux on the PE filter because 37 bux seems like quite a bit of money for a filter and some foams; even if they are that much better. As for the tires and wheels, I'm no expert on that part of the topic at hand so I think Im gonna leave that one alone and let someone get that one for ya...[8D]

I would definitely recommend the badlands...they are a great bashing tire...grips on all surfaces. Getting the wheel/tire/hubs bundle on Impakt is a great deal. I just ordered a LPR bundle (Jconcepts rulux, bow ties and the new traxxas 17mm hubs for my E-Revo) from them last week so I can switch between the badlands I currently have on my nitro Revo for bashing and then the LPRs if I decide to do some racing. Shipping is usually very quick and they have great customer service.

As the air filter goes, I have the RB filter and it is very nice (top quality for sure). It is pricey and RB also recommends not to clean and re-use the filters. What I have done is oiled the outer prefilter as well and then just clean it (the inner stays clean) until the inner starts to get dirty and then replace the works. I have about 10 tanks or so with the RB and the inner doesn't have a speck of dirt on it yet. If you do go with the RB, grab another package of filters and it should last you quite a while. Also, get a pack of the motor saver necks ( http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...oducts_id/3104 ), use the largest neck and you will be set. One other thing I did do, was make a support for the filter just for some extra peace of mind. Here's a picture of it installed...

Badlands are good on many surfaces but, I really like my proline mashers on dirt grass or asphalt. They seem to get more grip on grass than the badlands do.

The Rulux are a 3.7" rim where the badlands are a regular MT size 3.2" rims. I have seen some pics of guys that installed badlands on the Rulux rims but I don't know what kinds of mods (cutting) you might have to do. The dish wheels are light and super tough...great for bashing...I just wanted something different.

Sorry...my bad...didn't realize they made the Rulux in a MT size. So, yes, those will work. Zero offset will be like your stock Revo rims, 1/2 offset will widen your trucks stance making it more stable. I would go with the 1/2 offset. Sorry for the confusion Stambone.

Get the Motor Saver filter for the Revo. It's about $15 on Tower. I think Impakt has it also. I would never pay $37 for an R/C air filter. I just bought a replacement filter for the intake on my full size car for $30! lol

I actually found my RB on ebay, NIB, with 5 or 6 extra foams and oil for $25. For that price I couldn't resist. I really think the badlands would be a great choice for what surfaces you are running on.

yes leaning toward rulux wheels trying to decide yellow or white wish they made them in black would make it easy.

If I find that filter in the 20-25 range I will get it if not I will keep looking as the PE filter looks cheap.

Tires its down to the Badlands & Mulchers as it looks like both will work great on the grass surface.

I would go with a motorsaver filter. They work really well and are half the price.

You can always dye them black...that's is what I am planning on doing. Just grab the white ones and some RIT dye and have at her.

I should have them here last this week or early next week with any luck (I live in Canada so it takes a little longer to get here). I'll post some pics when I get them dyed and installed.

Damn see those Mulchers in the first pic I was leaning towards the Badlands now I am back to 50-50 LMAO[:-]

What I am scared of is they show purple

Might dye them then spray them with Black CRYLON paint.

Just make sure you boil them long enough and they will not be purple. I dyed a couple sets of white wabash rims for my 18t and they are pure black. That krylon fusion plastic paint does do a great job.
