Default My new gas outrigger w/ pics!

This is a follow up to a post of the boat when I first got it. I since have yanked out the old engine and put a full mod BH Hanson Zen 230 in it. Took off the pieced together exhaust that came with it and put on a no-band ProBoat tuned pipe. Ordered a 2716 20deg prop from Dasboata, put a carbon fiber lid on the radio compartment, and cleaned it up. I still need to figure out a gaurd for the carb, but once that is done it will be ready to get wet. This will be my first time running an outrigger, so does anyone have any advice? Also feel free to comment or make suggestions as this is my first outrigger and I could use the advice.

looking at the pix that looks like to be one long extension to the pipe.

What is the length from exhaust port (following the header) up to the fattest part of your pipe?

looks good by the way.

12 1/2" from middle of port to the fattest part of the pipe. I did a post on exhaust length and got one reply. They told me to start around 14" but that I would probably end up around 11 to 12. So I just started at 12 1/2"

Thats what I have also.

maybe it was just the pix, it kind of gave the illusion that it was much longer.

Nice looking rigger !!

keeping water COMPLETELY out of the carb intake while Running / Launching is paramount !! ..... get it covered
