Default silicone for tire glue?

has anyone here tried using silicone instead of tire glue. if not i might try it. it could be an easier way to remove an old tire and still be able to reuse the rim[&:]

I tried it a few years back and it doesn't work for crap, the silicone sticks to the rims but not the tires.

Default RE: silicone for tire glue?

I was thinking of using this as well when I had some loose 1/10 scale tires that were coming off the rims for my RC18T. I was out of CA so I gave it a try. Worked for about three minutes, then it was right back to where I started, just as haasjj said. Stick to the glue. =)
