Default My new SM F-18F

Well it was a matter of time before I came back to the F-18F. This time in Jolly Rogers scheme. The box arrived today unharmed with a lot of warrnings on the outside, good thinking Anton... My ordinance should be here in a few days. This one will be fully loaded.
I put all toghether in a bout 10 minutes to check the parts and everything was there. The paint job is amazing with a very nice weathering, nomenclature and details.
For power I will use a Rhino of course with a Jet Central smoke pump.
Powerbox Royale with Duralite batteries.
Complete light system
All the goodies will go in this one.

Well a few pictures and I will keep you guys posted on building.

Michel

But will need all the help with the build that I can get because it will be my first turbine. So please keep those pics and any advice on the build coming.

Thanks Dan, your scheme is awesome but I am a war scheme fanatic on the super hornets... Maybe one day we will get toghether and fly some formation...

By the way hurry up or I will have mine ready before you have yours...

Very nice pair you have there Jeff, I had the same F-18E and used to have the F-18F diamond back. This last one is still flying on the hands of a happy cutomer. That jet has almost 3 years know and it is rock solid...

Check this videos...

http://www.jetsrc.com/videos/F-18F_MT_JetsRC_Hi.wmv

Our builder needs to finish an F-4, F-15 and then my F-18, my guess is we will start end of July or mid August with the F-18.
Can't wait to have mine ready...

Wawo wi wa!
I like the weathering on the service hornets, I have the Skymaster Diamondback one but it doesn't have the same weathering detail as the Jolly. Probably because the livery is fresh.

In mine Anton did a few more things on my request like add some more nomenclature, have the tails and black canopy painted in glossy and not matte like the real one and he added some extra nice weathering, that comes standard with the jet...

The paint job has an A+...

Michel,

Can you let me know what Light kit your getting for your bird, which lights are included in the kit, and do you make your own lenses for them....

Hi Michel, I should be getting my SM F18F (Canadian scheme) in about a week or so, I want to get a jump start on getting servos, can you or anyone else give me a complete run down on JR servos needed. Thanks.

David I get my lights from flugmodellbau, available at the US from Todd at Dreamworks and from me for South America . You can get lenses from them as well. They have a complete F-18F light set available.

Kevin, excelent scheme you got there... This is what I will be using on mine. I have also used this servos in all my other F-18 and work great.

Elev DS 8611A
Aile DS 3421
Flaps DS 8611A (One reversed)
Rudd DS 168
Nose Z650M

You are going to love it Kevin. There will be no problem seeing it, and it is of fantastic quality. Mine has not flown yet due to all the gear still in my F18-E. But who know what the winter will bring?.... I higly recommend that you get the cockpit kit to go with it.
