I do.
Mine has a Jett 50 on it.
Radar clocked it at 143 mph.
Great flier, like it's on rails.
Only problem is the fuel tank has to go back by the cockpit if you put retracts in it. Looong skinny nose.

Thanks John-
This would be my first prop jet. I'm fine with fast planes though. Would this be OK on a well trimmed grass field?
Do u have any fell for what the top speed is?
Mum

Makes a great jet trainer 40 size F-20 with 60 size engine. With a 60 you are almost in the ball park with 90 size D/F sport jet performance. I refinished mine with epoxy glass finish and re-paint. My F-20 has an old O.S. 61 FSR and she chugs around nicely at approx 120MPH. 'No' retracts on mine for simplicity she is going on six y.o. and hundreds of flights...
I find an 11x8 or 9x9 prop on the 60 gets her moving well. Lots of fun and highly recommended....
Cheers

My F-20 is great off grass although I fly from a concrete strip now days.
The F20 will slow up very well for landings and is a great model for practicing nose high approaches and touch and goes. I guarantee your first approaches with this bird will be way to hot! get her up high and check out just how slow this bird can fly! almost cub like I kid you not.... remember though do check the stall as she is snappy if slowed down to much.

Have you looked for a used Patriot or F-4 also?
No matter what you choose, you are going to have a blast!
If money is an issue (as it is for me..), keep lookin' at the for sale section-
I got a Patriot, with Spring Air retracts and ASP-46 for $200-

Yup, money is an issue. So many planes, so little bucks. $200.00 is a great price. I have time before I make the move. I'm sure a Diamond Dust will keep me happy for a while. But I want something else is the Q. A kit would be my first choice actually. I like to build almost as much as I like to fly.

Ok Well I'll add my 2 cent's..I have one, love it , built it to act like a DF for my waiver.
I just changed out the Rossi .60 for a Jett 50.I did my own cockpit from scrap's , spring air retract's, robart strut's, small tank above nose gear, I added about an inch to the cowl for the Rossi and did the whole thing in monocote! here's a pic..oh, it flies great!!!

Looks like this one is a must have for my fleet. I'll probaly go fixed landing gear as I've never done retracts and like to keep things simple.
Is this plane being discontinued by DC?
