Aero Commander, BME 50's: fuse tank info please...
I'm about ready to buckle up a customers 144" Aero Commander with 2 BME 50's and I was thinking of mounting the tanks in the fuse instead of the nacelles.
I just wanted to be sure that with the pumps on the 50's, I don't have to worry about starving the motors. I don't expect this one to be flown straight and level very often, she's being built to do the full "Hoover" routine.
I always have the option of a couple 2, 3 or 4 oz tanks in the nacelles and the mains in the fuse... any input or experiences here would be appreciated.
Thanks... heres a shot of this beauty!

Madmax:
With the Walbro carbs you wont have any problem with the tank in the center fuselage.
The one thing I would suggest, though, is using two smaller tanks with one feeding into the second - wont have as much trim change from the fuel sloshing around. And do use a separate clunk for each engine, and the largest pipe and hose you can fit for the intertank feed. Or a dual intertank feed, again with dual clunks.
