RE: Facet Owners
Hi all,
I assume that you are referring to a 2300 size Facet.
I used a 1 litre Nalgene round bottle in mine from the outset with some Festo fittings.
This has worked out to be a cheap and reliable solution for the last two years.
I hope that this helps.

RE: Facet Owners
Hello Scott
Mcmaster Carr
4577T21 should be identical replacment
4280T38 The one I used as a replacment for stock tank this one is HDPE. Lid on it is just a little larger so you have to enlarge the first cradle sligthtly but it is a much better tank. The HDPE material is much better that just plane Polyethlyene.
Hope this helps

RE: Facet Owners
I have cracked several tank lids over the past few years in my Facet. If the crack is in the center of the cap (near the fuel fitting) you can JB weld a large washer on the inside of the cap. I've done this a couple of times and it lasted a while, but then the cap splits around the threads.
Thanks to ChuckC I have one of the HDPE tanks in it now, but I haven't flown it yet. The tank lid looks a lot better than the one on the nalgene tank.

I don't have the number right now, but US Plastics (on-line) makes a drop-in fit HDPE tank - after I changed mine out to HDPE, I have yet to have problems with the tank - VERY easy! In fact, the tank has out-lived my Facet, which is now stripped down and retired. The tank will go into another project...

Next question, Does any one know of a place to find replacement gear? I messed up the main and nose wheel. I do not know what brand the nose gear was, but it was not one of the main stream ones.
Thanks for any ideas.
Scott

RE: Facet Owners
I have a new main gear for a facet 2300. It already has the wheel axel and mounting holes in it. I will let it go for $50.00 shipped
