Default Servo reversing?

I was told that you can swap the red and black wires on a digital servo to reverse it, is that correct? I am used to switching the two wires on the pot and two on the motor to reverse them.

I need them for flaps and would rater not use a extra channel or reversing harnesses etc.

depending on the brand of servo it is. I use our local Hobby shops programmer and I reverse the servo myself. there is no need to swap wires. but again, depends on brand of servo..

Many years ago that was the only thing you could do, switch the wires. Nowadays it can be done in TX. Of course if your TX don't allow that then try switching. If you are using digital servos I would assume you have current radio equip.

there are servo-reversing Y's that are made for EXACTLY the issue u are working with, where U need to reverse just one flap (or elevator, nose wheel, etc...) servo...........check tower or your local hobby shop. It's not an exotic or hard to find item.

No, you also have to swap the 2 outer wires on the feedback pot/resistor as well. Leave the middle wire alone.

NO! Do not swap the input wires to the servo, just the motor wires..i.f it's a typical digital servo, the optical pot inputs will not need to be altered.

Or you can always use a Matchbox or similar device.

Just use a matchbox, you have to sync up the flaps anyway??

I've reversed a bunch of standard Futaba servos, but you have to do it at the motor armature.

A while back I thought I could reverse a servo (Futaba 9001) and I ended up killing the motor. I found I needed to buy a servo reversing 'Y' harness.

BTW, I switched the 2 leads, not the leads to the motor itself.

Any JR servo can be ordered in reverse format if you choose.

I did it to my jr8711. Reverse the motor wire and swap both end of your pot wire leave the middle wire connected.

Of course swapping negative and positive will reverse the servo. It will go from working one way to not working the same way. And a similar wiring trick will work with a microwave as well, by axident I connected the magnetron the other way round and it froze a cooked chicken before I could unplug it again.

Isn't it possible to simply orient the flap servos so that the top of the servos are facing the same direction (assuming of course that the servos are laying flat in the wings)?

boomerang jets and some fei bao jets have this set like you mention
brilliant and simple.
just need a V cable

I can only put them in one way so I have to reverse one of them. Is it ok to Y harness digital servos?

Don't you mean a "T" cable?

Hitec digitals + programmer = no matchboxes, no Y harnesses, no frozen chickens.

Can not speak for digitals, but i reverse analog servos all the time.
Switch the 2 wires to to the motor and switch the 2 outside wires on the pot.
Works perfectly.
