Man, you threw me off with the name of his thread, .. but in the corner of their website, it does say "RCXP" RC Extreme Power. I guess I was just thinking of them as Area 51 ... That probably doesn't apply here since the "51" obviously refers to their 51cc engine. As far as this engine goes ... I have no doubt at all this is a fantastic engine. I've met Milton a few times and I'm confident the combination of his engine line and his support of the product, you have a winning combination.

Man, that engine really appears to be tuned well for just 2 tanks. Impressive, ... but that can't be the Yak's maiden flight???

Milton....we're you running a pitts style exhaust on that or a canister set up? If a guy wanted to use a canister set up , what headers would he use? Does the DA 100 exhaust flange fit this puppy? BTW.....video was impressive!! Looks very strong!

We are using the stock mufflers that come with the engine.

With a slight modification DA headers will work, There is 2mm difference in the bolt pattern.

New update on the Area 102, They now have the same mounting bolt pattern as the DA, Make life a lot easier for mounting into airframes that had other engines in them before.

Wow, is that engine noisey. We would loose most of our flying sites here in the U.K. with something that loud.

Most of what you hear is not the engine but the prop unloading, All you ahve to do to get it quieter is to use a larger prop, On canisters or tuned pipe and 3 bladed prop you can hardly hear the engine run.

Hi ukmike,
I have just come back from the British Freestyles, and i was pleasantly supprised just how quiet you can get some of these engines, and how noisey they can be...!!
Talking to some of the guys they spend as much on pipes and cans as the engine.
The 51 is pretty quiet compared to some I've tested and heard.I don't want to mention names but some sounded awful...!!!!
I shall start checking out the 102 shortly to see what sort of sound levels we've get with that.
Quietening things down is a priority.
You are quiet right, we could loose flying sites if we are not careful.
