Default I built another r/c track

My bother and I built another r/c track. This time it was for the mid michigan dirt diggerz. I posted some pics of the track I built for myself a couple of months ago and the owner of this track contacted me and asked to have us rebuilt thier track. I sat down with some paper, designed a few jumps, and this is what we came up with. The club is supposed to put the tubing doen this week and then you'll be able to see the shape of things a lot better. I hope you like the pics

We used a plate compator to pack everything. Using the skid loader or tractor to pack stuff makes a mess and leaves things uneven. We use the machines to pack dirt bike tracks but the r/c tracks require more attention to detail.

That is one good looking track. Good enough to eat off of. Or maybe not.

Newbie to board. Just getting into rc's. Where is this track located? What type of cars run here? Electric or nitro? 1/10, 1/8?

I am guessing you are running 1/5 1/8 and maybe 1/10 cars, nice track but you might want to work on spelling like the word down.

read the post and observe the obvious...
located in mid michigan, it's outside so both, and if 1/8s run on it so do 1/10's...

The track is located in clio michigan and they race pretty much every other weekend in the summer. They race 1/10 nitro and electric as well as 1/8 nitro.
I see your located in macomb. I just got done building a indoor track in Port Huron that you might want to check out this winter. It's a combination of a oval track and a off road track. Here's a few pics and a link to their web site.

Don't be a jerk. A thread from months ago is brought back up and the best thing you can do is comment on one spelling mistake? If you look down at your key board you'll see the the letter "e" is next to the letter "w". Most people would probably assume that I was typing fast and accidently hit the wrong key causing me to spell the word "down" as "doen" and not think twice about it. Some day I hope to have the amount of free time that you have so I too can search forums like you and point out people's spelling errors. Thanks! Keep up the good work!

Hey moebigslee,

Nice jobs on those tracks! It takes someone who is part artist and someone who is good with machines to create what you've done. Way to go, I envy your talents!

As for xzavin, don't be too harsh. He obviously has no life...

If your asking about the indoor track it took a week. We walked in last monday morning and walked out friday evening. We probably could have cut a day off of the build if we wouldn't have had issues getting good dirt to work with. The pics don't show it well but there is close to 1000 yards of dirt in the track. The track is actually built on a angle to help with visibility so the back straight is elevated 5 feet above the floor. We also wasted a lot of time putting in the plywood. It's a pain trying to flex 3/4" ply around a oval and keep it looking nice.

nice, what kindof soil was used on the first track, here in CA we suffer from horrible clay problems, it likes to expand and contract ALOT meaning lots of cracking, im currious what kindof soil you used, man, that offroad track's NICE (indoor), secrets

Where are the MidMichigan Dirt Diggerz located? I live right in Mid Michigan and haven't found any "professional" tracks to run on. My friends and I just run on the track we built at my house. It's a nice track, but not as big or as nice as what you have pictured. What size is it? Mine is 100'X50'. This track looks like 200'X200' or something. If its close by I'd LOVE to run on it!!!
