4 wheel vs 2 wheel steering for crawlers

RE: 4 wheel vs 2 wheel steering for crawlers
Depends on what truck it is. If it's a 2.2 crawler, like an Axial, 4WS is illegal in competition. But even for fun, full-time 4WS is a pain because it tries to push the rear end out on steep climbs when you make minor corrections with the steering. Independent rear-steer would be the way to go. That way, you can steer with the front and use the rear steer only when needed.

In my experience (on a 2.2) 4ws is more hurtful than helpful when its not independant. If you have everything laying around anyway just hook it up and play around. Have a little fun and then decide.
