Don't mean to bud in here but he said that that it was built from Hostettler plans. Find them here.

They are great plans but not for ARFers.
I have several copies of Hostettler plans and I'm currently building a couple, but I haven't yet seen the Lancair plans and imagine you would want to buy the fiberglass fuse as he did.

Flee,
That's the point. When I see a beautiful plane at the field that someone obviously put a lot of work into and someone asks them that, it just kills me.
I'm really not that hip...just sarcastic.
It's a really nice plane he built. Great planes just came out with an ARF that is a little smaller and someone will no doubt seriously ask him that.

Yep it is a beautifull bird, and problably will not be outdesigned for decades to come without huge tech breakthroughs. I'm speaking of GA of course.
Actually the full scale construction uses the same tallents as this builder did as I'm sure your aware.
As a 1/3 scale builder myself, sometimes you wonder why one doesn't just up the scale a couple thirds.

GIJon if you had doubled the size you just might have been able to squeeze in there and taker for a spin.
Cool picture. It's good to see the size difference. I have contemplated the ARF version but thought it was kind of a "big" model. LOL Not now.
