Default Kyosho FW-06 Porsche 911 added to collection :D

Couldn't resist, I saw it at the LHS the other day and nipped in today to grab it. The owner gave me a great deal on it too, $249 - far lower than most retail prices. I'll break it in tomorrow and post a video or something once I get it running well. I must say though, it's one of the nicest bodies I've seen on an RTR. For now enjoy these glamor shots

Great, now go run it and show us some action pictures. Very nice body. Looks a little, oddly proportioned(??), though.

Yeah all of Kyosho's cars are a bit off when it comes to scale, but these bodies are still way better than the Inferno GT ones.

Might want to get an exrta body now (one for show, one for go) I have a couple old FW04's that came with real nice bodies. Over the years both have taken their lumps and they ain't so pretty no mo'. Checked out replacements and they're like 125 bucks now give or take!

Yea the proportions on the IGT's are completely off. But hey, atleast the body's detail is still good looking. I might pick up one of those, 1/10 scale right?

Yeah its a 1/10 scale. Designed very similarly to the HPI RS4 series but a bit cheaper. The only questionable design move I see is that the center drive shafts are plastic. They're quite thick though and it's likely they'll hold up fine, but it did catch my eye.

I think they sell metal shafts, I'm not 100% sure on this though. It would be a good idea because an engine with any power could probably rip those shafts apart.

Yeah, though at the same time some of the Traxxas 3.3 RTRs use plastic shafts and hold up, so we'll see. After all this is just a .15 size engine.

True, but different plastics. You don't know what Kyosho used that Traxxas did.

Yeah, we'll see. Won't be an expensive fix regardless. The fact that they're center shafts help since they're not subject to the articulation forces that the axle shafts are.

Great car and I too have been scoping the 06 each and everytime I go to the LHS. It looks great and I can only imagine it runs better (thought only slightly) to the 05T so it has got to be pretty good. I'm jealous and fear that I will have to hide the credit card transaction from my wife when I pick one of these up for Christmas (self gift)!.

Tell us all how she runs
