I bought 4 5645's for my Reaper. When I hooked up the first one to check it out, It worked for a few seconds and then ran to one stop and would not work any more. Now every now and then it will try to center. The other three seem to work. I am not sure that I am willing to trust my Reaper to these servos.
Has any one else had a problem with the new Hitec digital servos?

You can do a search on the Hitecs, there have been quite a few that have done the same thing as yours, send it back & they will replace it. I am running hitec digitals with no problems, I really like them.

Issues
There seems to be some issues with the "later" batches of servos. I had some from when they were first introduced and have had zero problems.
I have seen a bunch of "recently bought" Hitecs give problems right out of the box. I think this is a wide spread problem as of late. I hope they get it resolved because they do have a good product when they work.

I have 5945's inmy super reaper, second year (was out this weekend again!) and they are working great.
I have 5 of the 5645's flying in a giant scale gasser (extra 300L, 87" Ohio kit with a ZDZ60) and another giant scale profile gasser without any problems.
From what I have read some of the servos would go hard over right out of the box. Never had one do it, but I thought the programmer (reprogram the servo) would fix it? If not Hitec is great for service/replaceing defective stuff. I burnt two of mine out (plugging thim in reverse polarity) and they replaced them.

My personal experience with the 5645's has been exc.I have had tons of them since they first debuted.I have had not the 1st problem with centering or failure of any kind on these. They are half the price of 8411's with almost the same torque(small difference of 20 oz/inch basically) .Have had them on quite a few jets and big aerobatic planes with no bad vibes
