Default Spektrum Dx3R/Dx3S

With the understanding that everyone opinion will be different about what composes a better product, I have what may be a simple question which of the 2 Spektrum radios is the better buy. Any input will be appreciated, thanks in advance..................Albert (TXRR)

A: Spektrum Dx3R
or
B: Spektrum Dx3S

Apples to oranges. Those radios compete in different markets and are therefore not comparable.

Basher = DX3S

Racer = DX3R

The R is a faster radio with a lot more options for racing, like throttle/steering mixing, etc, etc.

The R does not to my knowledge do telemetry, which a racer is not gonna look at anyway.

All I plan on doing is bash, and based on the information provided it would appear that the Dx3s is going to be the way to go. I really appreciate the replies
