Default Axe CP V3 and 25c burst?

So I bought my little boy an Axe CP v3 for xmas and he's doing great.
But I want to flip this thing and beat it up a little bit.
I start to realize that the 15c battery is just not going to deliver enough umph to pull out of tic-tocs and other tricks.
So I decided on trying to go with on of the outrage 25c packs for a bit better response.

Does anyone know if you'll burnt out the ESC or motor with the higher C's or will the ESC and motor only draw what it's capable of?

Well Ohm's Law tells us you'll be OK when using the stock motor with the stock ESC, but anything is possible. I'd be more concerned with (possible) lengthened run times from a larger capacity battery causing excessive heat. That will slowly damage anything.

Ok, so I did it today, I purchased the outrage XP 850 mAh 25c battery. There was a huge difference in collective punch.

Test successful. 10c's more gave me the pop that I needed and the motor / esc did not even feel warm.

Time to slap on the GY-401 now

Good deal.

It seems time is on your side too since the (wee) smaller capacity, 850mAh from 910-950mAh and the increased draw rating, 15c - 25c, will mean slightly shorter flight times.
