The engine says it comes with a standard crankshaft. will this fit onto my car considdering i have pretty much a stock car besides from tyers and shock springs? and whats the difference between a standard crankshaft and a SG cranksharft? here is a link to the engine if u guys want a look... http://www.osengines.com/engines/osmg2104.html

All Hpi rs4 series car use a Standard shaft. The 18CV-RX is a perfect drop in.

Most other cars/trucks use a pilot shaft engine.

ok so basically all i need is the 20mm HPI purple motor mounts and the stock exhaust will fit ..
also the standard shaft will fit the stock flywheel and clutchbell on the rs4 3 evo+.. is that correct.
i just dont wanna go and buy something and then realse it wont fit and need to buy more stuff

I have a stock car and and just ordered the same motor. And you dont even need the purple motoe mount. I ordered the dull one for 8 bucks. you will need a HPI racing cluch tho to handle the extra power. I hear that the stock cluch wont make it. If you order form towerhobbies.com like I did. you can save 20 bucks on a 150 buck order. By the time you get the motor mounts, clutch and a extra glow plug you should be set. I will have a post in HIP on-road forum with step by step picks of the install on this motor in a few days.

I'll be following this as well. Let us know when you do it. I'm really interested in upgrading my engine already.

I spoke to someone at my LHS and asked them if it was a perfect drop down, but he had mentioned something regarding dremeling something so I'm looking to see if there's a way to avoid that cuz I sure don't want to dremel.

Does the Evo+ use the rotary one or the slider? I'm assuming rotary?

Hey can someone help me. I would like to know if this engine will fit in my RS4 3. http://www.gravesrc.com/ProductDetai...Show=TechSpecs I've heard that the stock Nitro Star T-15 isn't all that great. Although I thought it did a good job but if this engine will smoke the stock one I'd like to try it. Also will the stock clutch bell and clutch shoes fit on this without modding? Thanks guys, Joe

ton sure about that motor. it looks like a rear exhaust so you will need a rear exhaust manifold and set your throttle likkage for a slide carb. Call HOI and see what they say. My UPS Tracking # says my engine will be in today . I will pit it together tonight and post the install tonight tonight or tomorrow morning.

That engine will not fit unless you get a big block conversion. That is a BIG BLOCK motor (.21+) so try looking for a small block motor (.18 and smaller)

Hpi .18ss, OS .18 CVRx are great options for a rs4.

Think I'll get my hands on one. Will both the pinion gears fit on that shaft? It looks a little small. If you guys are saying its a direct drop-in then i'll assume they will. Can someone also post a link to a site where I can get one at a good price. Thanks, Joe

Isn't the OS 18cv-rx less powerful than the Evo + T3.0 (1.35 hp vs 2.2 hp)

What are the negatives of running the T3.0?

I am looking in to buying an Evo +, just looking at engines options right now.
