Eurosport INTAKE duct question
I have a eurosport with a rhino that flies great. I have the intake ducts installed in this plane as well. The engine is fully bypassed and I also have 2 inch diameter holes in the twin faux exhausts. My question is: Is it a good idea to remove the intake ducts SIMPLY to lose weight? With a rhino, the plane is able to do nice harriers etc, but perhaps if the intake is removed, it may fly even better than it does already?
thanks in advance

RE: Eurosport INTAKE duct question
I'd leave them in, better airflow, less stress to the fuselage, less chance of FOD damage, probable less damage if you got a flame out on start etc........

Ragz,
thanks, i meant the first generation intaks and not the jet. I have bought with my Eurosport (same scheme as yours) a set of intakes from C Arf, and have understood later on that this set does not fit easily. Also understood that they are now offering intake duct which fits perfectly.
Thanks advising and appreciate your help in this respect.
Bestv regards

Countryboy,
Thanks for the photos.
jets of Bergen,
Thanks for the photos. Appreciate knowing if your duct is the new improved one or the old version and if you had problems installing same. Also would like to know how did you do attachment on the other side (inside fuse).

The biggest problem I found with the liners was that they had a twist in them running lengthwise. Using a heatgun and twisting in the opposite direction and holding while they cooled helped. I did this several times and they now fit fairly well. Also, once the notch is cut at the rear to clear the starter motor helps stress relieve them also.
