I think there are great possibilities with something like this. I have always wanted a E-Maxx for the "no mess" easyness of it.
What do you guys think?

That is a great idea! You can run nitro while your batteries are charging! Except where do you put the batteries?

where the exhaust went? or where the tank was. or under the chassis. you wouldn't have to run 2 batteries which is nice.

Yep, it sure is..................

I thought it would be easier for people to see what the link was refering to, instead of having to click on the link and waiting for it to open.

Good idea, but you would still need the mechanical brake in order to stop, which will make setting the ESC interesting, to say the least. My big question is how well it holds up.

Just use a esc from a E-Maxx and it has a no reverse setting, if I am not mistaken..

Are you still using the clutch shoes or is the clutch bell always engaged now? If this would replace the clutch shoes with a direct drive then I would think the ESC brake and reverse would work for both of those operations. If this keeps the clutch then you would have to keep your throttle/brake servo and it is going to be one big mess to get everything to work.
