How to remove A-Arms
Long story short: Let my friend drive the truck for a minute to see how it is, he drove it into a wall and basically I gotta replace the whole front end just about.
Anyways, I have no idea how to remove the A-arms from the part that goes into the tip. I can remove the rods that connect it to the chassis, but dunno how to take off the part connecting it to the wheel. Any help would be highly appreciated. Thanks
I figured it out, thanks guys.
I'll keep this thread open so other newbies to the hobby can figure it out as well.

Well do you have the manual? There should be exploded views of the whole truck. If not then you can go to www.traxxas.com and find the exploded views on there.

RE: How to remove A-Arms
Oh sorry, it's a T-maxx 3.3. The manual didn't show anything.
So, I checked the exploded views but it only shows how to put it together piece by piece, not how to actually get the a-arm off the little ball and rod it's connected to. Taking it off the bulkhead was easy, but the other end isn't. It looks like I gotta try and rip it off but I don't want to break something if that's the wrong way to do it.

I already found that, but it didn't show me how to take the a-arm off. I don't know if the end is glued, somehow screwed in (theres a ball at the end of the little rod that goes into the plastic peice before the wheels) or just chilling in there, but trying to pull it out isn't working.
EDIT: I figured it out guys, above poster was right. Theres a allen wrench screw that is at the end of the ball. I had to rip it out to actually see it. Thanks for the fast responses and great help!

If you are refering to that then you are talking about the pillow balls. You would need to remove the rubber plug, then you should have a gray plastic tool that will fit in there and take the retainer out that is holding the pillow ball in place.

RE: How to remove A-Arms
read this all before attempting i am not an expert and this was the first major repair i did with my revo. and this is the description for a revo 2.5 may vary with vehicles. just thought any one might be interested.
i just went through this with my revo 2.5 this weekend. the silver ball joints are screwed into the a arms u need to insert and allen wrench in to the back if you look carefully at the blue plug(yours might be different color.) behind the silver ball joints. there is a slit for you to insert a Allen wrench to hold the ball joint in place while you spin the a arm. if you need to replace ball joints remove plug behind it it just pops out maybe a small screwdriver to pry it out.look in side you see a larger Allen wrench hole this needs to come out backwards so that the ball joint will follow it out. do not try to get the ball joint to go out the a arm end. again study the diagram anr the way the lines are directing the parts.if you need to disconnect the other end of a arms you remover front bumper and post tower.till you see the little peg ends i just grabbed the end with pliers the came straight out.. now the bottom side is a bit more complicated you remove the skid plate three screws on the bottom. two across from each other and one further to the center of the truck. this is a long screw it goes down though several pieces, be prepared to keep these in place. now the bottom a arms are four separate pins front two pull out easy the back i had to spin the gear that the long screw went through. and the pulled out.i put the body side back together first on both top and bottom. then reattached the wheel hub equally straight into both a arms. any more advice i would give is do one side at a time do the top of one then the top of the other then do the bottom one side you will see the othere side go naturally. now for all the experts out there feel free to edit my post for anything that might not be right. i think i could change these in 30 min now. it took me several hours to do this.
my revo wont go in reverse i haven't looked at it yot but any ideas what it could be it was working fine through half a tank i did have a few spills.
id like to find a post on changing revo brakes. anybody?

About your Revo not going into reverse... Has it ever been in reverse, cause I think they took reverse out of the newer models because people were messing their trannies up... Unless I got that backwards. =/

Sure you didn't strip your gears? When you try getting to reverse, does it just rev forward or does it rev sitting still?
