Default IMO, The best airframe ...

Let's try something here. We're always trying to match an airframe to a turbine or vice versa. Why doesn't everbody that flies and reads this jet forum recommend an airframe for a certain turbine class.
IE: IMO . Best airframe for a P80 turbine is a BVM Bobcat.
Doesn't matter what you fly, whether its a sport or scale jet. Let's get some really biased opinions going here... Might be fun!

Bobcat with a P80?? Not sure about that, my choice for that airframe is definatly a Merlin 90. Less weight, less fuel and more go[8D]

Billy,

You west coast boys are sure running alot of Firebirds lately. My Firebird project is wrapping up,but I'm just running a lowly 36lb Simjet Nexus.I called Tom when I saw/read about all the big blocks you guys are running in this airframe.I like to go fast and hill climb as much as the next guy.He said I should run with what I've got,and that you really can't keep the big blocks wide open in the straight and level mode for more than 3 seconds. My point is perception is a very subjective thing.I bought a Tam A-4 from the famous Dougie over there, and the thing couldn't get out of its own way.

I don't know if you saw the video of my raptor, but I'mattaching the link.IMHO,it was 25% fatser than my super bandit, and I'm thinking my Firebird will be 25% faster than it.In any case, good luck, and if any of you west coast guys get out this way, come and see us.Farviewflyers.net.

Will do Eric. I'm sure your Firebird will haul the mail. It is a very sleek and low drag airframe. All F Bird owners should meet for an all out hillclimb'n session

Oh and by the way, Last time I flew the Firebird I was on the throttle for 2 laps. 2 VERY HOT LAPS.........Underwear check time! Maybe this weekend I'll go for 3[sm=bananahead.gif]

What? 2 Full laps? That's no joke Billy! D-Fresh needs to chime in with a custom label on that kind of flying (e.g. "Strap on that sack and hold full stick on that Titan powered Flash")
One of these days I'll have to make it out to see this in person myself. Last time was with Sung and his Oly powered Firebird at Crows Landing.

You couldn't even run that up to full throttle in the pits without that POS airframe exploding!!! [8D]
