Savage/Wolverine fuel tank
Im looking at maybe installing a RD Logics 270cc fuel tank. Has anyone done this? I dont think it will work on the regular size savages but would be a great upgrade for the Xl and Extended chassis savages. Looks to be a real easy upgrade using the rd logics mounts.

Yes it would because it does not have the shelf in the tank and its fuel line is on the bottom. You can fix the half tank lean. I have a tread on the fix for it. Its simple and costs nothing.

RE: Savage/Wolverine fuel tank
Funny how the stock Savage 160cc tank costs about $9 USD shipped from a fleabay chop-shop and like $12USD at the local RC store.
How much does the RD Logics 170cc tank cost?
I busted out the brittle walls of two stock tanks, so I ran to the local RC store, but 2x 300+ cc (or whatever 10oz is) DuBro airplane tanks.

Its a 270cc tank. I think its about 15.00. Reading anything about the fuel tanks on the wolverine and I have not read anything about them breaking. It looks like it would be a great upgrade.

I would hope so. The 270cc is a defo plus.
I hope the Wolverine plastic is more elastic than the HPI 160cc tank, the pastic is way too brittle on that tank and I have busted my fair share of them from rocks and other hard objects that come op between teh wheel base especially when landing.
I chose the DuBro airplane tanks because they are more elastic and will flex and give rather than shatter. I would hope the RD 270cc tanks do the same.

When I get one I will let everyone know how it works out. I need the tank and tank mounts because the stock savage mounts are too small. just imagine 270cc. Thats some run time.

Oh yeah! Considering a K4.6 will burn through 160cc in about 12min and an STS D30M in about the same time, 270cc should add at least 50% more run time! Maybe like 15-17min?
