Default Only in America Thank you DA

I would like to thank Tony at DA publicly for his attn to my engine. I posted a pic asking a totally different question and he noticed I had the old (or first run) screws holding my carb on. He asked if I wanted the updated parts. I figured he meant just 2 bolts. Today I recieved a package that included a lot more than 2 bolts. Keep in mind that I never asked for this stuff or had any complaints. Hell the engine has never even been fired up yet. You's have a customer for life! I am not too concerned with saving 300 bucks for something others call equal. IMO nothing is equal to service after the sale as this was.

Thanks again Tony and all you guy's at DA,

Kevin Rudden

Only $243.00 more in free parts and you would be where you would be with tha DL brand.

That fails to factor in excess of $100,000.00 a year in contest and fun fly promotional give aways, or the R&D that's done to provide so many different manufacturers the data needed to copy their products from.

Mr. Mugen,

I'm with you. DA is a stand up company that we would be at a terrible loss to be without.

Please. You fail to impress me with your way of thinking. I buy what I want when I want it. Price is the last thing I look at. I did not start this thread to start a brand war. I did it to thank a company that did right by me. Take this type of bs elsewhere please.

Keep up the good work DA!

Kevin

P.S> I don't mind chipping in on the prizes and advertising costs or any of it. I understand from go what I am paying for and I buy it....thats it. I also buy Snap-on tools. Same reason I bought a DA.

I agree. Let's keep it friendly and on topic....which is about DA.

Good onya DA for the great service.
I might just add, that I received in the mail yesterday, a new upgraded prop hub from the DL dealer here in Australia. cost = $0.
Maybe they are copying the DA service as well.

My experience with both DAs and DLs convinced me that the continued DA services is worth every cent of that $243. Fast turn-around, free upgrades/check-ups, advices etc, you name it.

Barry, I also agree, but I think the other gentleman has a right to voice his opinion. It just shows some folks have a different set of values. I am of the same opinion as Mr. Mugen but I also believe in the right of others to dissent as long as it's done respectfully. Just my two cents and if I am out of line here please let me know and I will give a most sincere apology.

Well that is true....BUT nobody was really asking for an opinion on THIS particular thread. This thread was started as a thank you to DA. There are plenty of other " this engine" vs "that engine" threads to go around.

DA service would be really great if they paid for the shipping back to the shop. That's what my buddy says who owns a 50 and after sending it in for updates and such. But then again, no engine company does that.

I'm one of the lucky ones, I don't know enough to get myself in trouble!

By the way, I have a DL, but you cannot beat the service from DA and they have done lots and lots for this hobby. Kudos to them!!

I have engines from most of the manufacturers. DA truly has the best service of them all, which endears them to their customers both large and small.

There are two other manufacturers that have great customer service, and a few other engine suppliers that take good care of their customers as well.

Well I remember looking at a comparison of the two engines and I thought the casting and quality was in favor of DA. It’s like comparing Chinese made engines to engines made in Italy.

I had a DA 150 and the ignition died. Called them and they sent me a new ignition, no questions asked My friends talked me into trying a 3w. After around 10? flights the c clip came loose and went threw the engine. I called gearhart and he said the price started at $600 (for both jugs) at fixing the engine [:@] From my experience you can guess which i would rather have...
