Anyone Heard of Air Power Technologies Engines?
Hi All,
Looking for a big powerplant for a Hawker Tempest that I'm building and I found these guys. They have some sweet looking inline twins that look great and I've exchanged a few emails with them and they are very helpful. My only concern is that in 20 years of modeling, I've never heard of them. Have any of you? Good or Bad?
Their inline twins appear to have a nice slim profile with the exhaust integrated into the motor mount, so great for those of us who don't want to have carbs and muffler sticking out of the cowl.....
I would really appreciate any and all feedback that any of you have as I'm seriously considering one of their engines.

Thanks!

He said to do a search because their ain't too much good to say about them. I'd get a ZDZ inline if it was my plane and I needed one. A ZDZ Super 80 single would work too.

The Taurus web site shows only one inline twin - 107cc ( 6.6ci)
Now that would haul your Tempest real well.
To bad DL or one of those many other "off shore " engine manufacturers did not make some inline twins for our big Warbirds.
It is like Dave Platt said on his videos; the engine manufacturers are not making engines for the scale modeler that fit inside the cowling. [sm=confused.gif]

Sal, I'm just going by different things that I've read on different forums. I can't recall reading one good thing. I'd do a search here and at other sites before you make a purchase. I'm just going by what I've read, so my opinion is based on that. No personal experience with any of their engines.
