i have a guy that can cut me tvps with alaser cutter. its really cool . he has this maching that scans it and the a computer controls everything. do you think the savage would benefit from thicker tvps?

i'd try to make an extended set personally...

but thicker is good, tho i'd make sure its aluminum over steel....

Yes it would, but make sure to have the same design, just thicker; you will also need longer screws.
