Default DX6i "model copy" routine?

Okay guys... I'll "fess up" to being a relative novice, and also feeling a warm trickle down my leg as I acclimate myself to the B-400, and CP flying. After having made mistakes in trying to "copy" the original DX6i (factory) program for the B-400 to a second "model name" for experimental purposes, I screwed up. Went to the LHS for advice from a young heli-guru... The thing seems to have decent pitch curve settings... I asked him to duplicate it for a second (emperimental) model so that I could "play with various tx settings... He apparently did so, and gave me the "drill" on paper to accomplish the "copy" task.... It didn't work. "Model 2" doesn't fire up the chopper, and the DX6i manual leaves me somewhat foggy on the "process" for copying over one model memory to another.

I won't drivel on here... Just hoping that one of you who's familiar with the 6DXi might enlighten me on a step-by-step process for copying over a model program (including any glitches/mistakes that may occur along the way!)... Any advice would be much appreciated!!!

you have to use the bind plug and rebind the reciever everytime you make a model change

Thank you kindly for the response. But it seems redundant to re-bind when both "models" on the tx are the same B-400 heli... Nonetheless, I'll give it a try later today and see what happens!

It would seem so.... But with "Model Match" when creating a new model change, rebinding has to be done. Hope everything works out...

Thank you BOTH for your response! Due to other responsibilities, I've been "grounded" for a few days... I'll give the re-bind a try tonight, and see what gives!

each reciever has its own code, i could have 10 of the same ar6100e`s plug in everyone and turn on all 10 heli`s.
the one your tx/radio is currently matched to will work fine, the other 9 will do some weird stuff one might lift but not control rudder.
one might spin in circles. one might just set there at full throttle. and so on and so on.
you have to bind EVERY time you change heli`s.doesnt matter if its the same kind of heli. its still a different reciever and every model in the radio has a designated code.

Well you're correct that one would work fine, you are incorrect that the others would "do some weird stuff"....

The only thing the others would do is drive the servos to the failsafe/power on position and that's it. If you've not done a re-bind after setup then the servos would only be driven to their default positions.

Thank you ALL for your feedback!!!!!!!!!! I will attempt the re-bind ASAP, and report back the results!

As an "aside," I managed to fly the CX2 outside without crashing! This may sound "simple-stupid" to those of you with more flight-time under your belts.... PLEASE give us "newbies" a few chances to crash, burn & learn!
