Is it possible to convert an Traxxas radio to USB?
So a few days ago I downloaded the demo for Virtual RC Racing. It was near impossible to drive with my keyboard so I got this great idea. I plugged in the Interlink controller from my RealFlight G3.5...And it worked! Both steering and throttle/brake is controlled from the right stick. It takes a little getting used to, but it works. But if I keep driving with one stick, it might be hard to get used to a pistol radio again.
Anyway, the main point is, is it possible to convert a Traxxas TQ2 AM radio to use via USB port. Would it be a direct solder on to the transmitting electronics in the radio, or would I need to put together a circuit board in between the USB cable and the electronics?

Just get the VRC USB adapter. $18 for the VRC-3 which doesnt work with 2.4ghz and $35 for the VRC-2 which does work with 2.4ghz. I just won the winter nats 1/10 sportscars race at fort myers with the VRC-2 adapter, it dropped my times by a couple tenths of a second every lap. You can now download Melzo, Fort Myers (my favorite and the hardest), and Luxenbourg all for FREE.

Cool thanks! I didn't know about that. I checked and they have one for $44? at my LHS. Not sure if its the 2.4 or not, but I probably wouldn't need it. Is that too much? Horizon also has it for $44.
