Default diff oil??

i just completely disassembled my revo 3.3 because i noticed a lot of dirt sticking driveshafts just outside the diff. when i pulled the diff appart inside it was oily but not nearly full of oil, im just wondering if they are supposed to be filled up? or just oiled a bit? and also what weight should i use in them??

my diff's don't leak, never have....

i fill them right upto to the top and let the extra ooze out of the screw hole's. leaving them half full will cause the oil to get aerated and loose it's viscosity. the REVO come's with 30k F/R stock, i run 30k in the F and 50k in the rear work's good for me [8D]

If you fill the diffs to the top it will not allow for heat expansion and will eventually split the diff cup. Fill just above the cross pins. If you don't seat the xring all the way into the cups retainer area for it and then slide the shaft in you will always have leaks.

A;; 8th scales get damages when you overfill them like that, I would assume that the revo diff is somewhat similar, I filled my once the same way I fill my others and it never leaked.
