RE: just bought a tmaxx
You can remove the front cv's to make it 2wd, you can remove everything in the center heading to the front including front diff if you want to go all out for whatever reason. I like 30% nitro, 12% oil. I ran traxxas 20% but went through a ton of glow plugs in the process and the 30% just seems to run cooler in my revo 3.3.

RE: just bought a tmaxx
moe in wichita ks i have a tmaxx 3.3 the first thing i did was readjust the throttle so it only opens half way this will make it easyer to break in, this is a very power full engine. also you need a LOT of room to run these cars, cant have any posts, or curbs in the way. be sure to get permission before going onto private property. if you run in the dirt/grass go to a regular car parts house and get some starting fluid it clean you car when you are done for the day, do NOT use carb cleaner it may have chemicals that may attck plastics.

RE: just bought a tmaxx
The best thing I've found to clean my trucks are ArmorAll Wipes and an old tooth brush. For caked on mud and dirt. I use a hose to spray it off first then wipe it all down. I don't spray the whole thing down, just a light spray, careful to avoid the electrics and servo's and Engine. I've never had a problem and they always look great.

The best thing I've found for cleaning my truck is Formula 409....does the job better than these "green" cleaners everyone is hip on, and it does'nt eat the skin off your hands or eat hole in your shirt if you get some on you....
One of the best T-Maxx upgrades is the MIPCVD's.....I'd go as far as to say they're indestructable...

moe in wichita ks dont let 409 set on aluminum it will etch it. they found that out at boeing some years ago. but if its only on a min or so it should be ok, be sure you get all of it off.
