TB-02 or TA-05 is what I'd get as a kit in the same price range.

i would go for the tb02 because belt driven vs shaft, the shaft is always easier to maintain.

I don't understand the shaft vs belt opinion.... do you own a belt driven?  I have no more maintenance with my belt driven than I do with my shaft driven...

I have shaft and belt driven, and sometimes get rocks/compressed dirt in my belt drive gears whereas I don't have that problem with my shaft driven cars.<div>Luck I guess,</div><div>Cheers,</div><div>Skottoman</div>

im not saying belt driven cars cant be awesome, i am just saying that i prefer shafts because for one thing shafts usually dont snap. at least on the tb-02, with the aluminum

Again, with the 4 belt driven buggies and cars I own I've never had a belt snap on me. Not saying it doesn't happen, just that it's never happened to me. I also own 7 shaft driven models and the only complaint I have is the plastic shaft on the TT-01 which is easily replaceable with an aluminum shaft.

All I'm saying is that to me both shaft and belt driven vehicles are good and that other things are more important to me than that. The shocks, ability to tune and handling are all more important to me personally.

Ok well maybe it's just me then.  I have no issues with my belt drives and I guess if you don't want to take the chance then get a shaft drive.

Reminds me of the whole spektrum debate, I've never had any problems whatsoever with any spektrum product but some swear they are junk....
