For some reason my throttle servo with work for about 3 seconds then it either sets itself at wide open or totally closed/brakes.

Why is this happening?

Your servo is dying. Replace it with a better one and don't feel bad. I had both of my stockers die within my first gallon of fuel. It sucks but I went the stronger/faster route on the new ones and am happier for it. Best of luck.

I burnt out two TRX2055's so I upgraded to a JR Z650M which is 142oz/0.17sec metal gear servo. Its a good thing the JR units have a 3 year warranty.

What is wrong with my revo, why is it eating so many throttle servos? Is it because of the picco .26max, is there any way that the throttle body can be made to open up more easily to put less of a load on the servo?

OK first if you wish to check try plugging your throttle servo into the steering channel and the steering servo into your throttle channel and with the engine off of cource, see how they function.  Check for twitching or simple failiure.  If your steering servo starts acting up then it is either your receiver or your transmitter.  If the throttle servo is still acting strangely then the servo is shot.

It wouldn't suprise me if you burnt out your new servo from it being over driven by your Tx/Rx combo.  I was having this problem with my stock controller after I replaced the servos on my Revo.  It is a problem with most RTR Tx.  They have no adjustments for end points and different servos will have different amounts of rotation for the same amount of stick movement.  While some may try to change the linkage to allow for this I would suggest you look into a decent computer radio which has adjustable end points so as to not drive the servo any further than needed.  You might even be able to find a few on E-bay though I'm not a big fan of used controllers because you don't know how the prior owner treated it plus even higher end Tx for surface use don't cost that much ( I also fly Helis, Price a high end Tx for one and you will see what I mean) .  Hope this helps.

it just needed a new battery, which I find weird because the steering still worked fine, but hey atleast I didnt have to spend more $$$ to fix this damn thing.

Glad to here that.  I put a rechargeable in mine so it didn't even occur to me to check the batteries.  I just charge mine after every four or five runs.  Good to know it only cost you four batteries.
