Default Rudder verus prop position.

Just wondering what the experience or theories you may have on rudder versus propellor position.

I was just looking at real catamarans and noticed that they actually extend the hull out in order to have the rudder out further then the propellor.

This is definitely not the case with my setup. The propellor is entirely past the rudders.

Default RE: Rudder verus prop position.

Cats react different. The further the prop is away from the hull the more leaverage it has on the hull. The same is true of the rudder, how ever some cats need very little input to turn. The Stryker cats like the rudder very close, the Insane cats run better with the rudder further back.
