Default Low Battery Indicaters ?

Has anyone put a low battery indicater in there tanks that would flash a Led when the battery is about to get to low I know they have them for LiPo packs but is there any for the 7.2v NHMH packs . I was running my tanks at a WW 2 War reenactment the last two weekends and had them shutdown and restart when battery was low would like to have a Led flashing low battery then could drive tank to motor pool and change out to fresh battery pack .

i should imagine its perfectly possible, i beleive some lipo cutoffs have low battery indicators on them so it should be ok for use with a nimh pack i should think, all it does it turn it off at a low voltage

Good idea. I have been wondering why these tank makers haven't come up with such a simple warning lamp for low battery. Guys out there with electronic know-how can easilly fabricate these, but it would be nice if the tanks came with such indicators. All that would be needed would be a small lamp to illuminate when voltage gets to a critical low point. The way some of these tanks eat up batteries, especially with El-Mod, it would be a nice addition.

i think the best way [for realisn's sake] would be if ti were to be built into the sound unit, ie when it starts to get low on battery it makes an engine spluttering sound etc, that would be pretty cool

Nice one gorehound I like this one also and it uses little power .

But would like to see someone like Darkith make them im not good at doing a circuit board on my own I can solder the parts on from a kit .

Looking for one that is already being made or if someone from this group would like to build some then sale them .
