Heng Long - Replacing Burned Board - which one to buy?
I have a HL Panther, NON- smoke and sound.
The turret traverse has packed up. As per the excellent advice I recived here (thank you all)
I have checked in side, all the connections etc are good, it would seem the board is burned and I need to replace it. Plenty of choice on E-bay.
However which board do I buy? I am not so worried about having sound etc, but the semi-proportional control sounds good. Just need it to run.
Advice please on what to change it too.

I have burned boards before. Mostly because I run my tanks on hot days with long milliamp hour battery and no cooling fan. I would suggest you get the same board you have. and add a very small 12 volt cooling fan from radio shack. Hook it up to the on/off switch. I attach them on an angle using 2 way tape.

Sounds like a good idea. Next question, which board is it?
I am a bit confused with the RX11/RX12/RX18 numbering.

Since the proportional boards (from RX13 on) can control the motors also at low speeds (meaning less amps absorbed=less heat to dissipate) I would suggest you to upgrade the whole tank to a proportional system.
That means buying an RX-14 or RX-18 upgrade kit. Then add the fan and you should be ok.
