Rhino Powered Shock Jet "Really"
Now before you guys think I am crazy Please look at the photos below. I am not talking about he regular Shock Jet. I have the first proto-type of the ULTRA SHOCK.
This thing is huge. The wing span is 10 feet. The fuse length is 9' 10 inches. I am going to do a build thread on here. I don't know if this plane will ever be built but if there is enough interest I think TBM will release it. In talking to Gene at TBM he told me the cost would be in the 800 dollar range. Not bad for a bird if this size. So far the only thing I am concerened about is transportation. I don't think I can get it in my car. The fuse won't be a problem because the tail will come off with 4 bolts. Its the wing that will be a problem.
The photos below show the standard Shock and the Ultra Shock side by side so you can see the diffrence. Let me what you think.

RE: Rhino Powered Shock Jet
One if the changes I will recommend is a 2 piece wing or even a 3 piece wing.
Here are a couple of photos of the tail section. The stab and rudder are airfoil shaped unlike the small one.
More to come soon.

RE: Rhino Powered Shock Jet
I spent most of the afternoon trying to un-ugly this plane. I think I helped a little. Last night I glued the nose section on to the fuse. No problem here just some clamps to keep everything in line while the glue dried. I have had a field day with the cockpit and canopy. The canopy is not as clear as the production models will be but it is the proto-type and the factory has no way of knowing if they will ever pull any more of them so I understand why it's not perfect. Its not too bad.
I glued the stab and rudder on last night also.
More to come soon.

Yikes... I LOVE it! I have a JetCat Titan looking (Or waiting) for a home that would just LOVE this!
I have a 6x12 trailer for my planes and I think this would almost be to much for that with a one piece wing!

RE: Rhino Powered Shock Jet
Been working on the Ultra Shock. Got the wing glued together and all servos mounted in it. Can't find a place to store it can't lean it up aginst the wall its too big. I think I need a bigger house. Started doing the layout for all the turbine and radio. I think I will be able to fit it all. I did have to lower the sterring servo in the nose so the nose gear was long enough. Should have it flying this coming weekend.
