I've been working slowly on this 54"x12" fiberglass hull I got cheap. It's never had an engine in it and didn't have engine rails when I got it.The first owner made some homade hardware and put it on the transom ,but didn't reinforce the transom with wood, leaving only the fiberglass to hold it.I reinforced it with 1/4" plywood and put in some rails. The hull was scratched and nicked from storing and moving it around and needs some repainting in places. The hull has a planning surface on the bottom starting at a point 14" from the transom and 1 3/8 " wide at the transom.I put the tape on to see the area better. The colors you see on the hull aren't stick on graphics. The hull was painted with the accent colors, then some way was masked off in the design then painted with the black.
I'm putting in a full mod ,full crank 25cc Homelite and putting a Marine Specialities Pro clutch on it.It looks like a regular clutch but has metal shoes, not the flat Homelite ones.I ran a big boat before and had a hard time launching it without a clutch,so I figured I'd try this one.Hoping to get it on the water before the water freezes
