North eastern IL. new custom R/C tracking Comming****
We are going to get a new coustom track soon but we need more imput on how to build it. We need more guys to come out here and some extra input to make an awsome track. This is in Roundlake IL. behind the Kohls. It an AWSOME place to run because your at a skatepark/bmx track/and the r/c track. There are places to eat nearby and heck its just a lot of fun..here is the email I got from the nice guy who is taking charge.
"I talked to Jose which is the Superintendant of Round Lake Area Park District. We talked on the phone today for about 20 minutes about what is going on at the track. Jose told me that someone had approached him in the past about taking care of the track which in turn ended up being a bigger mess because they realized it has some upkeep and work to do on it. THe park distrct ripped out all the black tubing of the track and was getting ready to destroy it this winter. I convinced him to leave it there, and to let me take it over. So heres the deal: Jose is way more than willing to help me out with the task, as far as material goes, as it is budgeted into the funds of the park district. He just bought all new tubing that he will let me use and will bring anything I need for the track, except for labor, as I guess that is not budgeted. So Jose asked me to draw something up, and bring it to him which I stated I would do this week. We are going to stay in contact and Im gonna get the ball rolling for this track. He even made mention to the fact that If I drew something up, they would build us a racing platform. So this is all good news
So what Im asking for you guys.....Give me input, What does this place need? What are some improvments you would like to see? Anything else you could add? Also, I need to get the word out about this track and try to get the good name that RC needs to the Round Lake Beach Area. I hope to hear from you guys"

Hi, this is greats news. I was there over the weekend and there was a couple of guys talking about this. I'm open to help, at least to spread the news around. The only thing I would ask is for bigger lanes to run since it's hard to run more than 3 nitro cars at the same time. Do you are planing to make it bigger or just make it look nicer. Just asking.

it would be nice to have a water source with a hose connected to water down the track, it gets pretty dusty and slippery
