Default car wont turn on

hey guys this to me seems really strange.

basically i bought a 15turn yokomo and a losi high power esc for my yokomo lcg, when i installed the motor and the esc and connected them to the futaba reciever. (its just the one that came with the megatech junior) it worked for a minute or so then cut out. then i thought i had blowin something so i got the ****e little battery pack that can take four aa batteries and stuf that into the battery slot on the reciever and the servo moved the wheels so i figured the esc or receiver was ok. when i took out the batteries ( the four aa in the pack) again the esc turned off. and now it wont work with just my rc batteries
the esc doesent even come on. the car acts dead and is unusual because there seems to be no reason for it not to come on. what really blows me away about all of this is if i attatch the futaba aa battery holder and throw in 4 batteries and then connect my rc battery stick and turn it all on the car works fine. im completly lost on this one i never had to do such a thing before if anyone can help me on this one id really appreciate it and i also hope this made sense cheers

Default RE: car wont turn on

sometimes the power switches on these escs lose connection. you might want to just remove the switch and just solder it so that it's always on the "on" position then just plug your battery in to power up.

btw, if you use 4 AA batteries then your esc is out of the loop and has nothing to do with powering the steering servo since it's getting the power from the AA batteries. The problem lies with the esc somewhere.
