CG Ultimate Biplane vs Seagull Ultimate Biplane
All:
I wondering if anyone has had an opportunity to fly both of these planes?
The Goldberg bipe (http://www.carlgoldbergproducts.com/.../gbga1047.html) is larger,
heavier, but has a lower wing loading.
The Seagull version (.http://www.horizonhobby.com/Products...ProdID=SEA5050) is
slightly smaller, but much less expensive.
The Goldberg sells for ~$350 while the Seagull version is available for ~$200. Any thoughts as to if
the Goldberg version is worth the extra money? Is its build quality better, or does it fly that much better?
Thanks,

RE: CG Ultimate Biplane vs Seagull Ultimate Biplane
I have owned both of the them in the 54" span versions. The 54" Goldberg in not available as an ARF. The one they have now is a 60". I have not seen or flown the 60" version. As far as comparing the 54"ers the Goldberg is the better plane. It is lighter for one and has much better flight characteristics. The 60" is really a different animal. Even though the wing span is only 6" bigger it is a much bigger model, I think. It needs a 1.60 to fly right where the 54" will fly with a 90. I have a 1.20 on a 54" GB right now. It is way overpowered but still a good flyer.
hope this helps, David
