Default Looking to get my first heli!!

I'm going to be purchasing my first Heli and have decided on three choices. I don't know much about them, but I have friends flying the Blade 400 pro that will be helping me out. I also have the Real Flight G3.5 and have been flying the Dolphin 3D on it a bunch. I know I'll need the trainer skids on for a while and would like a heli I can grow with. Which one is the better value and will last.

Get the 600, because the 500 and 600 will cost about the same amount, and you will like the bigger bird better. It's more stable, handles the wind better, and to me is a better bird.

Just my opinion,

Mark

Thanks. I've been leaning twords the 600. I've heard its a stable platform, yet it is capable of a 3d setup down the road. The batteries are a little spendy though!!

You did good. The 500 or 600 will treat you good, especially because there such an excellent STABLE platform as you'll learn and understand later in time. Don't waste your time with the fidgety little cheaper heli's, they'll just keep ya frustrated and possibly putting a bad taste in your mouth and discouraging you away from the hobby. Any Pro pilot out there will tell ya to start with a .30 or .50 nitro for that matter, or yes, the 500 or 600 class heli's. Sure there a bit more expensive, but crashes will be MUCH less in the long-run and just ends up coming out the same most likely crash-cost wise if you did start with those cheaper little things that some get.

You'll love the T-500, a proven and reliable heli without a doubt. A belt driven tail is the only way to go bro. +1....... [8D]

Thanks for the feedback. I've got it all built, but I still need to buy the servos and gyro. I'm thinking of Hitec's and the 401.
