Nice. That's the way it should run. If you had room for a longer roll out, your speed might be a little faster.
Have you tried it with the cowl on?
I assume you are running the 2716/2 round 15 degree?

Daniel, what prop are you running? I have been running the 2716 15* that I modded. I have ordered another today but got the 20* rake should be able to pick up a couple more mph.
The falcon didn't have the cowl, did you lose it? I would have lost mine had I not put the flotation in it. I might put the cowl locks on and get rid of the magnets, they have a tendency to come off.
That boat seems to really be handing the speed with no problems, good set up for sure.

hope you have better luck with the 20 degree rake than I did. It doesn't have as much lift and you may have a greater tendency to blow off.

Paul, did you mod the 20* prop? I will be able to remove the lift buy taking the tips off of the blade, I will also add more cup, I would think the rake would just give more forward thrust.
Other than the tendency for the boat to blow off, what else did the 20* rake do? just courious. I already have one ordered so I will tinker with it and see what happens. I did run the X670 and was slow compared to the 2716/2
Thanks Randy

I think the 2716 is the best prop for this hull. My best speeds were with a round tip 2716/15 degree (71 and change). The 20 I had did not have enough lift and was constantly blowing off. It was a star tip. If you round/cup the prop this will further reduce the lift.
My Drag Cat likes a H50. My Falcon was fast with the H50 but not as fast as the 2716
This was my experence. Hopefully yours will be different. if you are after speed, blow offs are inevitable - not the end of the world Good Luck

Best run to date, got the 20* prop and did mods with a little cup, can add more it might help. Ran a 62.7 today with not much testing, will try next to raise strut a little more and add a tad of positive angle to strut. The boat is still running tight and a little on the rich side, so next time out a couple more adjustments, hope to get to 65 gps.
I will keep everyone posted as I continue to play with the Falcon cat.

Nice, that's how it's done a little each outing. Sweet.
Are you running with the cowling? I don't have the latest prop info on what Dave's best runs were with as he is in Vegas for the races. I'll let ya know soon.

Yes; these were run with the cowl, I have made a couple more air intake holes just behind where the carb sets on both sides for more air entry. They are oval shape and in the windsheild so you can't even see them unless you know they are there, a couple on both sides of the cowl and seems to have helped. Thanks Daniel for the kind words, as I said I just like to keep on tinkering until I think I have milked all there is, out of both boat and motor. Just don't think this motor has 70 in her, but I will keep trying as this is my first mod. I will continue to update on any progress.

UP Date; just got back from lake best run to date 63.9 GPS, ran 1* positive and leaned out the motor just a touch, I may still be a little on the rich side, just don't won't to toast motor. I was running the 20* rake 2716/2 and had to back pipe up to 12 1/2 ". The hull was lifting nice at speed, still no blow overs (yet) Ha Ha. just a matter of time and the right conditions. Still a little more tinkering and should be at the 65 mark that I set for the boat.
