3.2 brisson too much?
3.2 brisson too much engine for giant stinger kit or TF giant p-47?
I just over powered my 40 size trainer with a saito 72 and could not be happier!
I think I am going to have to get a bigger engine for those two kits. What do you think?

I had a Brison 2.4 on a Lanier stinger 1.20 80in and it had unlimited vertical. So I can imagine what a 3.2 would do on the 1.20 size or the giant stinger.

Many people put 60cc/3.7 on the Giant Stinger. I have a new, never run G62 to trade. It's a bit too much for my 80" Cap @ 8 lb airframe, ya think?

Once you have unlimited vertical, how much more power do you need????
Will the giant Stinger have unlimited vertical? That was what I wanted to know from my first post.
I want an overpowered plane!!!!

power
if you decide to do research, you will find the ratios for the engine. with thoes ratios and the final weights of your plane, you can decide if you have 2.00:1 or better you can to more than 3D minouvers, you will have the sky at your finger tips, only problem is room to land, the big prop will keep pulling you around at idle. good luck, and have fun.

yes!
The Brison 3.2 will have 25+ lbs of thrust with a 22x8 prop on it. I had one on a highly modified(80" wing, wide ailerons, oversize tail) Stinger 120 that ended up weighing 19 lbs. There was no problem with thrust at all. Normal takeoff was roll 20 feet then climb straight up.
Do you think you could build a Giant Stinger at less than 20 lbs? I know I could. It should actually be easier to build the Giant Stinger light than the 120 size.
If you really pay attention to weight, you might be able to build it around 15-16 lbs. Don't skimp on the forward fuselage or the landing gear mounts though.
