Summit Maintenance
Hi Guys,
Had the Traxxas Summit for about 2 months now and am want to do some maintenance, got a few questions:
- Motor: I was told to put oil in the motor and just rev it really slowly, what oil should I use? Nitro after run oil? Denaturalized alcohol?
- Diffs: do they have silicone oil in them? If so what weight do you reccomend putting in each? or just grease? Thanks
- Shocks: What shock oil do you run in each? is 30wt in front and back ok?
Thats about it I think! Thanks guys!

RE: Summit Maintenance
It's an electric so using Nitro after run oil wouldn't help.

The diff.'s have oil in them. If you don't know what you are doing but you want to repalce the oil then just get the same stuff that was in there. If you put grease or really thick oil in there then you will have better traction but it will put more stress on your drivetrain.

Differential rebuild scroll down; use 50k if you want more traction.

Shock rebuild

The info in the links might not be exactly what you need but it should help you get started.

RE: Summit Maintenance
Only thing you need to do is get some Electric Motor cleaner. Clean Your motor after each use. Then use some 3 in 1 oil and oil the bushings or bearings at each end and your done.
