JR921 vs AR9000
I'm planning on buying a new 9 channel receiver for my JR transmitters. Is there a difference betwwen the JR 921 and the Spectrum AR9000? I've downloaded the manuals for both receivers and they seem to have the same specs. It looks like the JR 921 has 2 battery inputs and the Spectrum does not. There seems to be a $20 difference in price also. Anything else?

RE: JR921 vs AR9000
AR9000 has a one year warranty while JR 921 warranty is three years. When the AR9000 first came out, an electrolytic capacitor was not secured to the board. There is a service bulletin describing this on both the Spektrum and Horizon web sites. Seeing this, I tore my JR 921 apart to examine it for the same flaw. The capacitor was glued in place. So the JR receiver may have a smidgen better construction.

Initially both receivers had the same case style only differing in color. The AR9000 was smokey and the R921 was transparent red. Later R921's have an opaque black case and the LED’s are located differently. I suspect the only difference in battery connection is the label wording as the AR9000 instruction says you can connect your battery to any port.
