RE: avonds f104 -almost ready to run
On mine I used the two saddle tanks, the main central tank and a header tank as shown in the Avonds plan and notes.
I used the supplied tray low down and for the rest of the gubbins I made a second tray bolted to a couple of bearers and this went above and slightly behind the supplied tray.
All accessed through the front hatch. With the nose off and the front hatch off access is not to bad.
If you have a bigger tank in the fuz you are going to be tight for space!

The 2.2 will make yours really nose heavy! Do not put anything unnecessary inside the nose cone. Its a real freight train to fly if nose heavy. Mine has the saddles and a 1.5 main tank but its still too much, a 1200 would be good. Its a tight fit anyway... my rx lipos are under the valves and rx underneath the front hatch. Turbine lipo and ecu over the bypass just in front of the turbine. With my Jetcat P80 SE I could even put the 1000 main tank as its a lessly thirsty turbine. Seldom I have the will to fly it for over 5 minutes anyway. Pictures, please...

I built mine as light as I could - just over 14 lbs dry with a Wren SS.
The engine pack was in the main body on the lower board. The Rx pack [ 5 x AA ] went in the nose as far forward as possible. That put the CG on the spot given in the Avonds manual.
I used the manual flight settings and they were good. You will want dual rates and plenty of expo on aileron. Mine floats in nicely on landing on the take off flap setting. If I use the landing flaps the descent rate is steeper and it needs about 1/2 power to drive it in, let it slow up and it dutch rolls badly.
Enjoy!

Here´s some pics. Sorry for the iPhone quality. The first is the forward hatch-a real chaos seemingly there. The blue line is brakes air fill tube, temporarily without the Festo self sealing connector (in loan in the Elan for the time being...). Visible are air pressure gauges for gear and door/brakes. Also the Emcotec B.I.C switch. Underneath that on the left is the gear door sequencer, and on the bottom left are the 4 valves, really cannot be seen now. On the right the servo spaghetti leads to the receiver, not visible either. UAT and fuel pump can be seen in the middle. The rx lipos are placed under the pump and UAT. Now their red connectors are empty in the pic. The 1500 CC Dubro tank takes a lot of space, may change it into a smaller one. Its just a pain to remove it now.
The rear hatch view is of the enclosed turbine and the ECU and the valves are just in front of the turbine.
Generally as almost must be placed underneath the front hatch, the space is critical. This is a DF model converted to turbine power with a small diameter fuselage as the full size 104 was also very tight in space. The main air tank is in the nose cone, and the other air tank is placed in the "roof" behind front hatch.

Do I need to have an elevator flap mix?
When I put in full flap for landing will it need 1/4 of up elevator?
What do you use?

Well it does kinda look familiar to me...! Nice! It needs some up elevator when flaps are down. But do install the fins to the tiptanks. They stabilize the model and reduce tip vortex...the model does not tip-stall, which is a very nice feature in a fighter looking like that. Always fly with the tanks as they also help orienting the model. Are decals from Aeroloft or Ralle?

Appreciate it! I' m building new tanks as we speak anyway...
They scratch easily from the bottom on concrete.

I put a strip of carbon fibre along the bottom of mine. It came in handy on the day I retracted the wheels a second too early...............!

Adam
has it got fixed gear or retracts? I only saw it fly with the gear hanging but I guess I could have only seen te start and end of the flights.
